Rough Translation:If there is one treasure bestowed upon humanity by the grace of God, it is the eternal Sanatana Dharma. For example, the wise elders advise us to perform actions or karmas that are appropriate to the "time, place, and circumstances." Following this path, we celebrate countless festivals such as Karthigai Deepam, pulling the chariot, offering milk, and preparing Pongal for God after the harvest. Most festivals are, in reality, acts of sacrifice or expressions of gratitude. Such worship is extremely important; it purifies our souls and earns us the blessings of God.

In a year, the sun's journey to the north and south is called Uttarayana and Dakshinayana, respectively. During this period, the sun traverses the twelve zodiac signs. Before Pongal, the sun is in the Dhanur Rasi (Sagittarius), and when Pongal arrives, it enters the Makara Rasi (Capricorn), which we refer to as the harvest season or the month of Thai.
